The Village of Gibsonburg and other Sandusky County communities are not afraid of a little hard work. In fact, agriculture and manufacturing are two of our top industries. For many youths in the area, working on the farm or helping out around the shop is a childhood tradition that instills work ethics from an early age.  

The THINK Manufacturing Career Showcase began because local manufacturers wanted to close the skills gap and show Sandusky County youth that there are cool, fun, and well-paying jobs in manufacturing.

The SCEDC along with the THINK Manufacturing Showcase Committee, brings local leaders, manufacturers, and schools together to promote workforce development and to show local students the opportunities in today’s manufacturing.

Area employers enjoy and appreciate the hard working workforce pool available and it’s no surprise, Sandusky County was recently recognized as one of the top 50 micropolitan regions in the country for business investment and expansion by  national publication, Site Selection magazine.
